In the afternoon of June 15, 2016, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/the Chinese National Compound Library, visited Department of Pharmacology and Cancer Biology, Duke University School of Medicine located at Durham, North Carolina (U.S.A.). He was warmly received by Professor Donald P. McDonnell (Department Chairman and Dr. Wang’s former colleague at Ligand Pharmaceuticals, Inc. during the early 1990’s) and Professor Xiaofan Wang (a renowned pharmacologist and Dr. Wang’s roommate during the early 1980’s when he was studying at UCLA School of Medicine). The three happily recalled many fond memories resulted from such a long friendship and agreed on setting up a bilateral collaboration scheme. Dr. Wang invited both to visit Shanghai when convenient which was positively responded.
