In the afternoon of November 14, 2015, several top research and development (R&D) executives from Novo Nordisk A/S of Denmark visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). They include: Drs. Peter Kurtzhals (Senior Vice President, R&D), Alan Moses (Chief Medical Officer and former Dean, Harvard School of Medicine, USA), Kristian Brown Frandsen (Global Medical President), Anne Mette Rosenfalck (Senior Vice President), Stephen Gough (Senior Vice President), Kezhou Zhang (Vice President, Novo Nordisk China), Yu Tong (Senior Director of Medical Affairs, Novo Nordisk China) and two of their assistants from Copenhagen and Beijing, Ms. Hansen Jin and Ms. Ying Qin, respectively.

Guided by Dr. Ming-Wei Wang, the honorable guests first toured the entire facility of CNCL with interest. Thereafter, they made friendly exchanges at the 3rd floor Board Room with Professor Jianmin Yue, Associate Professor Dehua Yang, Associate Professor Caihong Zhou, Senior Engineer Yingyan Jiang, Senior Engineer Jia Wang and several other scientists from CNCL, as well as representatives from School of Pharmacy, Fudan University. Dr. Wang once again expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Novo Nordisk for the generous donation 8 years ago. The parties then discussed topics such as research collaboration and support healthcare endeavor in less developed countries using Novo Nordisk resources and CNCL platform, etc. In the evening, Dr. Wang entertained the guests who continue to stay in Shanghai with a private dinner at the city center.
