On May 13, 2019, Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) met with his senior and old friend, Professor Richard Henderson (2017 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry) while visiting the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB), Cambridge, U.K. They had a long discussion that lasted more than two hours relative to development trends and application expansion in cryo-EM imaging technologies. Prior to lunch, Dr. Henderson accompanied Dr. Wang on tour to both cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography facilities at LMB learning in detail about several new techniques under development. He and his wife, Dr. Jade Li (X-Ray Crystallographer) and Dr. Shaoxia Chen (Cryo-EM Facility Manager) attended Dr. Wang’s seminar in the afternoon.
