Drs. M.-W. Wang and X. Xie attend 10th Molecular Pharmacology of G Protein-Coupled Receptors Meeting in Melbourne

Drs. Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) and Xin Xie (Deputy Director, the National Center for Drug Screening) were invited to attend 10th Molecular Pharmacology of G Protein-Coupled Receptors Meeting held in Melbourne, Australia between December 2 and 4, 2018. The event was jointly organized by the British Pharmacological Society and Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS-MPGPCR). On December 3, they delivered lectures entitled“Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor: small molecule agonists, 3-dimentional structures and beyond” and “Targeting G protein-coupled receptors for the treatment of autoimmune diseases”, respectively, reporting their latest achievements in basic and applied research on G protein-coupled receptors, which were enthusiastically received by the audience. During the meeting, Drs. Wang and Xie made broad academic exchanges with scientists from U.S.A., U.K., New Zealand and Australia, as well as overseas students and scholars from China.
