2017 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Dr. R. Henderson visits CNCL

In the morning of November 22, 2018, Professor Richard Henderson (2017 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Research Leader at MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB), Cambridge, U.K.), Dr. Jade Li (X-Ray Crystallographer at LMB and Richard's wife) and Dr. Shaoxia Chen (LMB EM Facility Manager) visited Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). They were warmly received by Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University), who expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Henderson, his senior in Cambridge University and an old friend for taking time to visit CNCL from a tight travel schedule. Following a guided tour of the CNCL research facility, Dr. Henderson delivered a lecture entitled “The cryoEM revolution in structural biology” in the CNCL auditorium which was enthusiastically received by an audience of more than a hundred coming from Fudan School of Pharmacy, Fudan School of Basic Medical Sciences, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, ShanghaiTech University, the National Center for Drug Screening and CNCL.
