Accompanied by Professor Hualiang Jiang (Director), Professor Jian Ding (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), Professor Jia Li (Deputy Director) and Mr. Jian Zhao (Chief of Science and Technology Department) of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Drs. Qing Yang (Director-General), Jinhui Gu (Chief of Mega Project Division), Feifei Wang (Infectious Diseases Mega Project Management Officer), Cheng Du (Drug Discovery Mega Project Management Officer) and Lixin Gao (Drug Discovery Mega Project Management Officer) from of Department of Health Science, Technology & Education, the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China (NHFPC) inspected the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) in the morning of January 25, 2018. Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) briefed them with the history, development and prospect of CNCL. Dr. Wang emphasized that CNCL will explore every possibility to expand both domestic and international collaborations while implementing the national mega project on drug discovery, with an ultimate goal of establishing a top level resource and technology platform for drug innovation. The honorable guests highly commended the founding principles, operating mechanisms and innovation achievements of this national resource-sharing platform for drug discovery.
