Asian Chemical Biology Initiative (ACBI), an organization launched over six years ago by scientists from Japan, Korea, China and Singapore, held an academic forum at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, between September 2 and September 4, 2017. Drs. Ming-Wei Wang (Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library, Shanghai), Motonari Uesugi (Professor of Kyoto University, Japan and Concurrent Professor of Fudan University), Sunghoon Kim (Professor of Seoul National University, Korea and International Adjunct Professor of Fudan School of Pharmacy) and Kazuya Kikuchi, (Recipient of 2016 CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative and Professor of Osaka University, Japan) attended the meeting. They each gave a presentation describing their latest research achievements which were well received by the audience. During the forum, they also made exchanges with several local scientists such as Dr. Amarsanaa Badgaa, Head of the laboratory of Ecological Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
