In the morning of December 8, 2016, a group of participants who were attending the inaugural events of Sino-Danish Regulatory Science Center in Shanghai visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). Among them were Professor Yonghao Gui (Vice President of Fudan University), Dr. Ruyi He (Chief Scientist of Center for Drug Evaluation, China Food and Drug Administration), Professor Sven Frøkjaer (Vice Dean, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen), Professor Flemming Madsen (Head of Pharmacy Department, University of Copenhagen), Dr. Jens Heisterberg (Vice President, Regulatory Intelligence of Novo Nordisk A/S), Dr. Børge Diderichsen (Vice President, R&D Outreach, Novo Nordisk A/S), Dr. Baoping Wang (President of Novo Nordisk China Research and Development Center in Beijing), Dr. Chao Sun (Strategic Project Development Manager, Novo Nordisk China) and Madam Shufang Wang (Director of Registration, Novo Nordisk China), as well as Dr. Jack (Juncai) Xu (Senior Medical Advisor, Shanghai Clinical Research Center). Accompanied by Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/CNCL and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University), the honorable guests toured the entire facility of CNCL with interest. They highly commended the foundation principles, operating mechanisms and innovation achievements of this national resource-sharing platform for drug discovery.
