Standardized management of large-scale compound libraries training course held at CNCL in Shanghai

The Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) held a training course relative to standardized management of large-scale compound libraries in Shanghai on March 19, 2016. Twenty three delegates from 12 satellite libraries across China and the core library participated in the course.

Senior Engineer Jia Wang (CNCL) chaired the event. Senior Engineer Yingyan Jiang, Assistant Professor Jiuqing Tan and Senior Technician Xiaoyan Wu introduced inclusion standard of chemical compound library, storage standard of chemical compound library, quality control and quality assurance standard of chemical compound library and information content standard of chemical compound library at CNCL, respectively. The attendants discussed in detail about compound storage, utilization and management software, among other topics.

Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Director of CNCL, joined the discussion in the afternoon. He interacted with the delegates for almost 2 hour and provided answers and explanations to the questions raised by the audience. In his concluding remarks, he stressed once again about the importance of standardized management and the urgency of establishing industrial standards in this area. He also assigned near-term tasks for CNCL.
