On March 3, 2016, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director, the National Center for Drug Screening who is attending the “International Symposium on Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery” at Kolkata, met with Professor Krishna Kumar (Chair, Department of Chemistry, School of Arts and Sciences, Tufts University, U.S.A.), Professor Haian Fu (Director, Chemical Biology Discovery Center, Emory University School of Medicine, U.S.A.), Professor Hon-Man Lee (Director, Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology, National Changhua University of Education in Taiwan), Dr. Jitesh Soares (Acquisition Editor, American Chemical Society, U.S.A.) and Mr. Sourav Chatterjee (Ph.D. candidate, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology at Kolkata). He discussed with Professor Kumar about the intention of setting up a collaborative research project on functional studies of modified glucagon-like peptide-1 ligands; with Professor Fu on the preparation of the 2017 Queenstown Molecular Biology Meetings in Shanghai; with Professor Lee about various academic activities associated with the 80th anniversary celebration of Fudan School of Pharmacy; with Dr. Soares relative to the proposition of establishing a new journal - ACS Translational Pharmacology; and with Mr. Chatterjee concerning his desire of conducting postdoctoral research in China upon graduation.
