During the week-long "CAST Member Day" (December 15) activities, China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) formally honored the 5th round of  "Outstanding S&T Workers of the Country" in Beijing and presented associated award certificates and medals on December 14, 2012. Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library, was among the list of recipients. This national excellence recognition program, commissioned by the CAST, runs every two years, in honor of Chinese scientists, technologists, engineers, physicians and educators who made significant contributions to natural and applied sciences, engineering, technology development and commercialization as well as science promotion and education.
