Professor Peter K. Vogt, Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of the Scripps Research Institute (USA), participated in preparation activities of the iHuman Center from September 27 to September 29, 2012, while attending the 80th anniversary celebration of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica (SIMM), Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received warm receptions by Mr. Jianjun Cheng (CCP Secretary of SIMM), Dr. Hualiang Jiang (Deputy Director of SIMM), Dr. Yang Ye (Deputy Director of SIMM), Drs. Ray Stevens and Ming-Wei Wang. Professor Vogt wholeheartedly congratulated the achievements of the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) made since his last visit in October, 2011.

During his stay, Professor Vogt met with a number of young scientists and graduate students, delivered a lecture at SIMM and toured advanced R&D sites such as the 2nd campus of SIMM and Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility. Dr. Jesper Lau, Vice President of Novo Nordisk A/S (Denmark), attended the above activities.
