In the afternoon of September 28, 2012, Mr. Zheng Han, Mayor of Shanghai, presented the 2012 "Magnolia Gold Award" to Professor Ming-Wei Wang, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to city’s economic growth, social development and international exchange (http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNDU1ODAwMTI0.html) .

Professor Zhu Chen, China’s Minister of Health, warmly congratulated Dr. Wang on this occasion: "It is indeed a well-deserved award! The grand revitalization of our nation needs thinkers and endeavors like you!".

Professor Wang received the "Magnolia Silver Award" 10 years ago for his significant achievements in high-tech entrepreneur activities during the late 1990’s.
