In the afternoon of March 18, 2012, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Academician Wenlong Zhan, Deputy Director Bureau of Basic Sciences, Professor Min Huang, Deputy Section Chief （Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Sciences), Professor Yaohu Liu and Dr. Yiyi Li visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). They were accompanied by Professor Jian Ding and Mr. Jianjun Cheng, Director and Deputy Director of Shanghai Institutive of Materia Medica (SIMM), CAS, respectively.

Professor Dr. Ming-Wei Wang (Director of CNCL) briefly introduced the history and future plan of CNCL. Professor Zhan emphasized the importance of promoting the mega programs, supporting large projects and providing inclusive services, once fully operational, in order to make China a country of innovation.

Professor Zhiyuan Zhu (Executive Deputy Director, Shanghai Branch of CAS) and Professor Yaping Li of SIMM, among others, participated in this event.
